Day 14 - A hero that has let you down. (letter)
Humanity is imperfect. I don't think there is a hero in my life.
Definition of hero:
Hero: 1. In mythology and legend, a man, often of divine ancestry, who is endowed with great courage and strength, celebrated for his bold exploits, and favored by the gods.
2. A person noted for feats of courage or nobility of purpose, especially one who has risked or sacrificed his or her life: soldiers and nurses who were heroes in an unpopular war.
3. A person noted for special achievement in a particular field: the heroes of medicine.
So here goes my letter.....
Dear Everyone I know / Everyone I know of in the World:
Like I said above...humanity is imperfect. I have been let down by family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, etc. And I am sure I have let down others, too.
I know plenty of people with qualities I admire, but they are not perfect. Nobody is perfect.
I applaud those who perform heroic tasks- I hear about on TV, read in magazine publications and read about in the newspaper.
But there is no ONE hero in my life.
Signed:
Gina

Honey, a hero isn't anyway "perfect", as you said no one is. It means different things to all people, my Joe once rescued a baby that was locked in a hot car, his Mom had left her keys in the car and the door closed locking the baby in..Joe managed to use a coat hanger and left the lock...he didn't hesitate to jump in to save someone. Some people just react to chaos/trouble very quickly without regard to their own safety too. They are heroes. Someone who steps up for you, makes sure you are doing okay...keeps danger away from you..they are heroes too.....
