30 Days of Truth - Day 18

Day 18 - Your views on gay marriage.


This is a subject I have never written about nor spoken about.  


I have known gay couples throughout my life.  But never any gay married couples.


This is a controversial subject.  Heard about on TV.  Read about in the newspaper.  It is everywhere.  So with that said....the following are my opinions/thoughts on the matter. I am not out to offend anyone.


I married the man that I love.  I was raised to believe that marriage is between a man and a woman. While growing up I attended several weddings of man/woman unions and was a Bridesmaid at one of them.  I have never attended a ceremony of a gay marriage.


I typed in a search box on Google:  Marriage definition.  I found this on Wikipedia.  Defines marriage in different ways.


I believe everyone should be able to marry who they love. Whether it is man and woman or same sex marriages.


I don't have a problem with others who have a different sexual make-up than me. You are not welcome into the privacy of my bedroom and I am sure I am not welcome into yours.  My sexual preferences are my choice.  Your choices are yours.


So whether you choose a marriage of man/woman....or a same sex marriage.....I believe everyone has a right to happiness.
