THANKS!!!!

The crappy part is that we cut up our credit cards a LONG TIME ago. I don't even have that as a back-up to use for the money that's gone. This Christmas SUCKS!!!!!

Why ME???

Lost my wallet. Between shopping yesterday and today.

A BIG BILL gone!!!!!!!

Plus the money I'll now have to shell out to recover my Identification stuff.

WTH!!!!!!

There goes the money that was earmarked to buy a gift for someone special.

I *just* can't get a BREAK!!!!

Hello Fellow Bloggers...

Man I can't seem to keep up with my blog over here on Blogger. When I used to get daily reminders on AOL that comments were posted, it made it easier to stay on top of things.

How do I subscribe to reminders on here?

I am so confused. But I will stick it out over here.

I am here. I am alive. I battled a wicked cold for over a week. Coming to the end of it now, I think. It was a nasty sinus infection that kicked my butt and I went to work EVERY day. I stuck it out. Yay me!!!!

Been dealing with personal issues. Hoping that the New Year brings the changes that we need.

Financially we are in a hole. But with this economy.....who isn't? I need a new Roof.....a dry basement.....updated my kitchen cabinets........more rooms in the house need to be painted....the bathroom needs a new door.....the tub surround needs to be replaced.......and glass doors need to be mounted on the tub. These are all things that need to be done......and then some as we try to sell the house in the next year.

Yep......looking to get out of this area. Our house was appraised and if we make some changes we can get a bit more money out of our house. So....with lots of prayer we hope to get the New Year going in positive direction.

So......that's a bit of what's going on around here.....what's going on in your neck of the woods????

Reunions

Reunions for grade school, high school, college.

Get togethers to reminisce about times way back when. See how everyone has changed over the years. And share lots of laughter.

8th Grade reunion. My mother went to hers for her school and had a BLAST!!

My brother went to his and caught up with so many people...and also had a great time.

I went to the same school as my brother- but switched out to public school half way through the 8 years. (My mother stayed in the Catholic Parish all these years.)

I ran into one of my former classmates' Mom at the local market back in the beginning of October. She said "You have to go to the 8th Grade Reunion. It's November 22nd. Call my daughter." So I did and sure enough I got an invite to go.

I was excited about this event and I couldn't wait for yesterday to get here. It was all I talked about for a month.

I told my husband about this event back in October and he said "$35 per person for an 8th GRADE REUNION?? Why the hell would you want to go to a reunion to see people that you haven't been in contact with since you went to that school???" Right then and there I knew he wouldn't want to go. Honestly...I didn't want him to go because I would have felt guilty for leaving him alone while I caught up with everyone.

Fast forward from the time of me telling him about the reunion, to yesterday. We have been having some serious financial problems for quite a while now. Who hasn't??? (This economy sucks!!!!)
Here is why I didn't go to the reunion last night.

A.) I am a selfish person and am only always thinking about me, me, me.

B.) I spent money on the movie Twilight on Friday night. Which I had already planned on way, way back in September with Faith's mom. (Faith was a BIG FAN of Twilight and was hit and killed on August 3rd.) About 80 friends and family packed AMC theatre Friday night.

C.) We could not AFFORD the $35 for the ticket for me to go to the reunion.

D.) I was yelled at that our financial problems were solely MY FAULT and given a HUGE guilt trip that I was being a selfish bitch.

I went to bed last night with Red, swollen eyes because of how upset I was and still am this morning. Clear Eyes eye drops are my best friend today.

My mom called me this morning and wanted to know how the reunion was last night. I told her I didn't go. Told her all the reasons why I didn't go. She said she would have given me the $35 to go so I didn't miss the once in lifetime event. I had to get off the phone because she turned on the water works for me again.

So...here I sit this morning. Embarrassed that I didn't go to the reunion last night. I feel embarassed that I told so many I would be there.

Mom says that I shouldn't be embarrassed, but I should be angry. All I feel this morning is shattered like I've been beaten.

Troll

This troll is someone I actually know in real life. Who has no life. Who apparently wants to be intimate with someone that wants nothing to do with this troll. Changed cell phone number so couldn't receive texts from this troll.

Now has to change everything else so the troll will cease to be a bother.

If troll doeesn't cease, the troll will be in violation of probation of some sort, and can be locked up. (Troll currently goes to CAMP....a.k.a. JAIL every weekend)- so yeah can get into serious trouble for harassment I'm sure.

Just thought I'd put the word out there so that said Troll could get the message. But as we all know...most trolls are mindless morons so this is probably a waste of typing on my part.

Oh well....

Promises, Promises

I know. I promised to catch everyone up with the goings on in my dysfunctional life. Sorry. I completely forgot about it. Until now. Right when I have to go to work in about 10 minutes.

It figures!

Well.....life has been really busy. I will definitely write a long post later tonight.

One thing before I head out to work.

I know there is someone out there whom has not made themselves a follower of my journal, but has made a point of making sure they are able to read whatever I write.

This person is like the annoying flea on a dog. This person is in their 20's. This person behaves like an immature teenager. This person can not grasp the concept that they are unwanted.

They continue to harass through IM's. 12 or more of them. Almost every single one was blocked. 12 (or more) different names! How pathetic!!! The last post threatened that if they were continually ignored--they would contact me and someone else and say god knows what.

I say bring it on. I need the comic relief of bs and lies.

Have a nice day!!

To my friends here....I'll fill you in later on life happenings!

Faith Sinclair

I am friends with the Sinclair-Ferrell family. It's been VERY hard on the entire family.

Their home is eerily quiet. Faith was the light in the room.....the heart and soul of the family.

They miss her *every* day.

Silence for almost 3 months was hard to live with. They plodded along every day.

That he was arrested lifts a little bit of weight off of the shoulders. But now they have to wait for a trial and then they have to re-live everything once the trial is started.

He plead not-guilty. He claimed in court that he was the passenger of the car. He told friends, family and his employer of his actions. That weighed heavily with the Grand Jury and they did their job to get an indictment and get Lemuel Payne to turn himself in.

He has a DUI history.

He did this unthinkable act that took a human life.

All that he has done in his past will be considered. The vehicular homicide on August 3rd and what he did in the days, weeks and over 2 months that followed, will all be brought out in court.

Justice will be doled out. It won't be as swift as some might wish it to be. But it will come.

At least this wasn't a case of "never" finding who caused this tragedy.

Faith Always In The Heart......Rest Easy

Thursday, October 23, 2008 4:58 PM EDT
By JOHN M. ROMAN, jroman@delcotimes.com
MEDIA COURTHOUSE – Nearly three months after a 16-year-old Ridley Township girl was fatally run down crossing an intersection in Sharon Hill, an Upper Darby man was arrested and charged Thursday in her hit-and-run death.

Lemuel Payne, 27, of the 300 block of South State Road, was initially identified as “a person of interest” within a week after the Aug. 3 death of Faith Sinclair, when police confirmed he was the owner of the striking car. But yesterday, his birthday, Payne was charged before Magisterial District Judge Edward J. Gannon Jr. in Sharon Hill with an accident involving death or personal injury, failure to immediately notify police of an accident, failure to give information and render aid at an accident scene and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.

He was held in lieu of 10 percent of $750,000 bail pending a hearing Tuesday. If he makes bail, he would go on electronic home monitoring.Police recovered a black side-view mirror cover with a Mercedes-Benz emblem later determined to fit a 2000-2003 S-class Mercedes at the scene.

Payne was seen leaving his garage and getting into a Volkswagen, registered to his mother, a resident of Philadelphia, on Aug. 6 during surveillance. Police with a search warrant determined the Mercedes concealed in the garage had damage consistent with a vehicle in a pedestrian accident. The registration plate had been removed and it was covered with two blankets.

Payne had obtained defense lawyer Mark Much within days of the accident, which occurred 10:15 p.m. Aug. 3 as Sinclair tried to cross Chester Pike and Laurel Road. He initially declined to talk to authorities. At the time, he wasn’t named a suspect in the case. Payne finally turned himself in to county detectives at the courthouse shortly after 9 a.m. Thursday with his attorney.

On Aug. 7, a witness told authorities he had seen the recovered car at a pool party the day of the accident, records state. A key witness, Marc Stephens, Payne’s immediate supervisor at Deer Park water company in Pennsauken, N.J., in an interview told police he received a call from Payne the evening of Aug. 8 – five days after the accident – saying he wouldn’t be coming to work the next day because he was sick, an affidavit states. Payne also didn’t show up for work on the morning of Aug. 6, Stephens told police. That evening, Stephens received a call from another employee, a friend of Payne’s, and was told to call Payne. When Stephens called Payne he “… explained that he was in trouble,” an affidavit states. Payne went on to explain that “… he was involved in an accident and he hit a girl and that she died as a result,” Stephens told police. Payne also informed him that he was in the process of getting an attorney and was going to turn himself in. Payne didn’t show up for work that Thursday and Stephens got a call from Payne in the afternoon. “During this conversation, Payne asked Stephens to disregard the conversation they had about the accident and that as far as they were concerned it was hearsay,” according to the affidavit. However, Stephens immediately refused, county District Attorney G. Michael Green pointed out at a press conference. With that, Payne just said OK and added he wouldn’t be at work until Monday.

“Mr. Stephens identified Lemuel Payne as the driver of the vehicle striking and killing Faith Sinclair Ferrell,” Green said. If convicted, Payne will face a one-year mandatory minimum sentence regarding the charge of leaving the scene of an accident involving death, Green said. Asked about the length of time taken to make an arrest, Green said there has been an ongoing investigation and he was not permitted to discuss part of the technique of investigation used.

Green said he could not confirm or deny any information about an investigative grand jury in connection with the accident. Anyone having information regarding the girl’s death or Payne should immediately contact Sharon Hill police at (610) 237-6200. Green said he didn’t believe they “have the entire story of what happened that afternoon and evening involving Lemuel Payne and the operation of that motor vehicle. An ongoing investigation concerns those facts which we do not have.” Green declined to speculate or theorize whether Payne had been drinking at the time. “Let me say this: we don’t believe we have all the facts.” Authorities believe there were a number of other individuals at that pool party who may have information and Green urged them to contact authorities. The Daily Times asked whether there was a passenger in Payne’s car at the time of the accident. Green said there is a possibility that Payne had a passenger. “We have not identified that passenger” and that is part of an ongoing investigation, he said.

Green admitted the case has been personally frustrating.“What we need to (do), in a case like this, take it one step at a time which we’ve been doing in the days and weeks since Aug. 3rd when this terrible thing happened involving the death of Faith Sinclair Ferrell.” Green said Payne knew that he struck a living person, but he declined to say whether Payne confessed to authorities.

Green and his assistants met with the family moments before the press conference.“I believe that they’re happy that the charging decision has been made, that we’ve been able to confirm a number of the essential facts in the case, including the striking vehicle, the driver and a timeline as to what happened that evening,” Green said. “They are devastated by the loss of their daughter,” he said. “And there’s no question that they will never get over the loss of their daughter and never get over the fact that a 16-year-old girl with everything in front of her in life was tragically taken from them.”

Phillies vs. Rays.....World Series 2008

Hello Red October!!!

Game 1....Phils Win!!! How awesome is that???

Gonna be tired tomorrow morning....but I'll survive. A gallon of coffee has my name all over it. LOL!!!

Say a prayer for my sister everyone. She dislocated her elbow a few weeks ago. Has been having problems ever since it was popped back in. She has numbness in her left hand and swelling in the arm. She is visiting family 3 hours away from here. My hubby is going to pick her up tomorrow morning and bring her back here to get to the hospital here since she can't get good treatment where she was.

Thanks in advance for the prayers!

Whatever happened to The Waltons???

I record The Waltons on my DVR every morning off of the Hallmark Channel. I get 2 episodes every day that I can catch later on that night when I am home.

I have even gotten my 11 year old daughter into the show.

Here is something I found on MSNBC online.

It was so nice to find this link and I thoroughly enjoy EVERY episode of the show that I watch. They don't make TV shows like that one any more.

PHILLIES GOING TO THE WORLD SERIES!!!

Woo hoo hoo!!!

The last time they went to the World Series my son was 2 years old. LOL!!!

It was nice to watch the game with him and see him get all excited, too!!!

When I was younger I remember them winning in 1980. My mom drove around in a station wagon beeping her horn while we yelled out the windows and back hatch window.

I'll be watching the ALCS tonight to see if the Tampa Bay Rays close the deal tonight or if Boston forces another game.

GO PHILS!!!!!!

Monday, Monday.........

Working on figuring out things here on Blogger.

Like how to put pics in the blog.
Put a subscribe link here on Blogger that everyone can click on.
Get alerts like we did in J-Land.
Just SOOO much to do to breathe LIFE into my page.
Oh.....and the one thing I am hoping to figure out real soon is how to migrate my old journal over here.

As for journals in J-Land of those who have passed away....I am SO SADDENED by the thought of not being able to click on my Favorite Journals links to see them.

It's like having one of those cards from a funeral service that actually have the person's picture on it. You can pull it out and look at it and think about that person. But clicking on the journal links of those who have passed let you do SO MUCH more than just look at a card. Reading all the comments of those that stop by and glancing through archives to find specific entries.....that is what I will miss.

So much change. But we will adapt and move on. Just wish I could bring those links that will be extinct soon over here.....

:-(
